Quality Policy


 

Sarawak Tourism Board (STB) is committed to delivering high-quality services that consistently meet the needs and expectations of our stakeholders while supporting the sustainable development of Sarawak’s tourism industry.

STB recognises the importance of establishing, implementing, maintaining, and continually improving a Quality Management System (QMS) that conforms to the requirements of ISO 9001:2015.

We strive to:

  • Comply with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements relevant to STB’s operations.

  • Demonstrate strong leadership and good governance by promoting accountability, a culture of quality, and the effective management of resources.

  • Deliver consistent, high-quality services that meet stakeholder needs and support the promotion and marketing of Sarawak as a tourism destination.

  • Develop competent and engaged employees through continuous learning, training, awareness, and participation in achieving STB’s quality objectives.

  • Ensure quality performance from external providers by effectively evaluating and monitoring suppliers, contractors, and service providers against STB’s requirements.

  • Monitor and continually improve performance through measurable quality objectives, data analysis, internal audits, management reviews, corrective actions, and risk-based thinking.

  • Engage employees, stakeholders, and partners in supporting the effectiveness and continual improvement of STB’s QMS.

  • Maintain and continually improve the QMS in accordance with the requirements of ISO 9001:2015.

Scope and Applicability

This Quality Policy applies to all activities, processes, services, and personnel within the scope of STB, covering the Promotion and Marketing of Tourism for the State of Sarawak.

It is applicable to all STB employees and management, as well as relevant external providers, contractors, suppliers, and business partners who contribute to the delivery of products and services within the QMS scope.

This Quality Policy shall be reviewed at least annually to ensure its continuing suitability and effectiveness. It shall be communicated and made available to all employees and relevant interested parties.
